Lord, it pains my heart when there are mean comments regarding the religious beliefs of others. Some comments are so hurtful it breaks my heart. Dear God, you made many religious paths on this Earth that man may seek You and find You in his own way.
We are all different, Lord, and You have a deep understanding about this. You made us all very different. We all have different digestive systems, and you cannot feed the same food to all Your children. Food that you feed to some will not be easily digestible by others.
Lord, gives us light and truth that we may be able to accept others’ religious beliefs without judging them. Most of us do not even know the scriptures of those religious beliefs, and yet we judge based on a random internet article that condemns such and such religion, or based on the harsh condemnation of our own religion against those of others.
Lord, Your Truth comes in all forms. But some of your children think theirs is the only way, the only path to Truth. You are infinite and boundless. How can there only be one path to Your divine truth?
Please God, gives us understanding and compassion so that we do not judge the belief system of others so harshly. Gives us an open mind so that we can either read and understand the religious teachings of other religions before judging them, or so that we may not judge at all.
You are the true Judge of all. Take away the vanity and pride of those of us who want to judge in Your stead, Lord. You are Sublime, Divine, Eternal, Infinite, without attributes, and All-Knowing. We are like ants trying to judge the continents of the world.
Give us humility, Lord, and let us submit to You instead of focusing on what others believe or don’t believe. As long as others are on a path seeking for You, what matters to me what path they choose to take? All that matters, Lord, is that they are trying to be better children and grow in their own spiritual way.
Give us the truth of light and compassion to accept others as they are, and not take the job that solely belongs to you, Lord.
